We’re all familiar with the expression, “those who can’t do teach”,
but what happens when one does and teaches, Rowen Bridler that’s what.
As if being a triple threat, singer, songwriter, and actress, wasn’t
enough, the British-born songstress also acts as a vocal coach to other
young musicians. The Prague based singer, who rose to popularity over the last couple
years as a social media sensation, may be best known for her “Minisongs”
series on Tout, which displays fifteen second clips from her original
songs. The series has become so successful that Bridler is now the only
independent artist on Tout’s main music page.Bridler’s interesting mix of moving ballads and lighthearted pop
tracks keep her fans on their toes and keeps her own creativity flowing.
From her soft and heartbreakingly sad song “Moving” to the much angrier
political track “Is It Friday?” her angelic voice, as well as
incredible piano talent shine brightly through the dark-but-true lyrics
that they carry. Bridler’s talents have been able to reach an even wider audience
range due to her multilingual background. She is fluent in French,
German, and Czech, allowing her soulful words to captivate her fans,
while still giving the lyrics a warm, intimate feel. Since the release of her debut album, Compromises in 2006, Bridler
has seen her level of fame skyrocketing, as she has become one of the
hottest young musicians in Europe. She also recently has been cast as
Johanna Bismarck, the female lead in the upcoming Danish period TV
series, 1864, which is set to premiere in October.
